Top Mobile App Development Companies in Vietnam
Eight Vietnamese mobile app developers compared on published platform skills, mobile service focus, engagement models and pricing, with a matrix for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native and a checklist for evaluating mobile delivery.
Key takeaways
- Eight companies are compared using Clutch profiles and official websites; mobile accounts for 15–35% of their published service mix.
- Look for framework evidence (Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin) and app release experience, not badges.
- Evaluate mobile delivery on device testing, store account ownership, release process and post-launch maintenance.
On this page
Choosing a mobile app developer in Vietnam is easier when you compare the same evidence for every company: which platforms and frameworks they publish, how much of their work is mobile, how they engage and what their profiles say about pricing. This comparison does that for eight companies and ends with a checklist for testing their mobile delivery.
Publisher disclosure
This comparison is published by PoliteTech Software, a Vietnam-based development provider that is included in the shortlist. We use the criteria and sources described below. Inclusion does not imply that we have worked with or independently audited every company. Companies are grouped by fit, not ranked by quality.
Define the app you need
Different apps demand different skills:
- Consumer apps: polished UX, performance, analytics, subscriptions and store optimisation.
- Business and enterprise apps: authentication, role-based access, integrations with ERP or CRM, device management.
- Apps with device integration: Bluetooth, camera processing, location tracking or health data, which often need native modules.
Write down which category you are in before comparing vendors. It determines whether framework choice matters and what evidence to ask for.
Our comparison methodology
We started from Clutch’s directory of app developers in Vietnam and the profiles of companies with a published mobile service line, then checked official websites where accessible on 5 November 2026. For each company we recorded the mobile share of its published service mix, the mobile frameworks it lists, its engagement models and its published rate band and minimum project size. We prioritised framework and platform evidence over awards, and we did not infer that a company built an app from a logo or screenshot.

Native versus cross-platform in vendor selection
Framework choice should follow your feature list. Cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter and React Native suit most business and consumer apps; native Swift and Kotlin make sense for heavy device integration or the highest performance. We cover the decision in detail in Native or cross-platform: how to choose for your next mobile app. For vendor selection, the key point is to ask for evidence in the framework you choose, including how the team handles native modules.

How to evaluate mobile delivery
Use this checklist in vendor interviews:
| Area | What good looks like | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Device testing | Real devices and a defined OS/version matrix | Which devices and OS versions will you test on? |
| Store accounts | Your organisation owns Apple and Google developer accounts | Will you publish under our accounts? |
| Release process | Automated builds, beta testing (TestFlight, internal tracks) | How do you handle store review rejections? |
| Backend and admin | APIs, admin panel and hosting included in the estimate | Is the backend in scope and who hosts it? |
| Analytics and crash reporting | Set up before launch | Which tools will you configure? |
| Maintenance | Plan for OS updates and dependency upgrades | What does post-launch support cost? |
Mobile delivery checklist.
Account costs are small but must be owned correctly: Google Play charges a one-time US$25 registration fee, and the Apple Developer Program has an annual membership fee shown on Apple’s website. Register both in your organisation’s name.
What a good mobile proposal includes
When proposals arrive, check that each one covers the same ground. A complete mobile proposal should describe:
- Scope by journey: the screens and flows in the first release, not just a feature list.
- Platforms and framework: iOS, Android or both, and why the proposed framework fits.
- Backend and admin: APIs, database, admin panel and hosting, with who owns each.
- Integrations: payments, maps, notifications, analytics, authentication.
- Design: whether UI/UX design is included and how many review rounds.
- Testing: device matrix, automated tests and beta testing.
- Release: store submission, handling of review feedback and launch support.
- Assumptions and exclusions: content, third-party costs and anything you must provide.
- Team and timeline: named roles, allocation and milestones.
If two proposals differ widely in price, the difference usually sits in one of these lines. Ask vendors to price the same scope before comparing them.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to build a mobile app in Vietnam?
It depends on scope, platforms and backend work. Our guide to mobile app development costs in Vietnam walks through three scoped examples and the costs that continue after launch.
Should I choose a vendor that specialises only in mobile?
Not necessarily. Most apps need a backend and admin panel, so a vendor with web and cloud skills can deliver the whole product. Check mobile evidence specifically.
Who should own the App Store and Google Play accounts?
Your organisation. Register both accounts in your company’s name and give the vendor access, so you keep control of the app after the engagement.
Can a Vietnamese vendor maintain an app built by another team?
Yes, many do. Start with a technical review of the code, dependencies and release setup. See taking over an inherited codebase.
