Software Partner Selection

Top AI Development Companies in Vietnam

Nine Vietnamese companies with a published AI development focus, compared on AI share of services, stated AI areas, delivery evidence and pricing, plus a proposal checklist covering data, evaluation, fallback and running costs.

TopicsSoftware Partner SelectionAI and Machine Learning

Key takeaways

  • Define the AI problem first — an LLM feature, a machine learning model, a retrieval system and data engineering need different skills.
  • Look for delivery evidence with scope and output, not just lists of model names on a profile.
  • Ask every vendor the same questions about data handling, evaluation, fallback behaviour and running costs, then start with a bounded pilot.

Almost every software company now lists AI among its services, which makes choosing an AI partner harder. The useful questions are narrower: which kinds of AI work does a company focus on, what evidence shows it has delivered them, and how does it evaluate results? This comparison covers nine Vietnamese companies with a published AI focus and gives you a checklist for reading AI proposals.

Publisher disclosure

This comparison is published by PoliteTech Software, a Vietnam-based development provider that is included in the shortlist. We use the criteria and sources described below. Inclusion does not imply that we have worked with or independently audited every company. Companies are grouped by fit, not ranked by quality.

Define the AI problem before choosing a vendor

Type of AI workExamplesSkills that matter
AI application (LLM features)Drafting, summarising, chat assistants, agentsPrompt and tool design, evaluation, product integration
Retrieval (RAG)Knowledge assistants, document Q&AData ingestion, search, permissions, citation
Machine learningForecasting, recommendations, classificationData science, feature engineering, MLOps
Computer vision and document AIOCR, inspection, document extractionImage data, labelling, model training, validation
Data engineeringPipelines, warehouses, data qualityETL, cloud data platforms, governance

Types of AI work. Many projects combine several.

Knowing which type you need prevents a common mistake: hiring a strong web team that has added “AI” to its services for a project that actually needs data science, or vice versa.

What counts as AI delivery evidence

Strong evidence describes a problem, the data used, what the system does, how it was evaluated and how it runs in production. Weak evidence lists model names or uses AI only as a marketing label. When reading case studies, check:

  • Is the vendor’s role clear?
  • Is the AI task specific (for example, extracting fields from invoices) rather than vague (“AI-powered platform”)?
  • Are results explained with a method, or just stated as percentages?
  • Is there anything about human review, fallback or monitoring?

Self-reported metrics in case studies are not independent verification. Ask how they were measured.

Provider profiles

PoliteTech Software

Publisher of this article. Hanoi, 10–49 employees, 5.0 from 57 Clutch reviews, with AI development as its largest published service line. Public work includes a Stable Diffusion text-to-image app and NLP-based note-taking and transcription apps. These show generative AI and language processing experience; they are not evidence of enterprise RAG deployments. Fit: bounded AI features added to web and mobile products.

Adamo Software

Hanoi, 4.8 from 13 reviews. AI and web are its two largest service lines, and its website names several AI case studies. Fit: AI integrated into business applications, budgets above $25,000.

Savvycom

Hanoi with regional offices, 4.9 from 27 reviews. Generative AI is a major service line and its website presents AI case studies with performance figures. Fit: larger AI programmes. Ask: how case-study metrics were measured.

Kyanon Digital

Ho Chi Minh City, 4.7 from 35 reviews. Lists AI agents for business intelligence, workflow and customer service. Fit: AI agents connected to e-commerce and business systems.

Orient Software

Ho Chi Minh City, 5.0 from 4 reviews, with an AI and data division called Neurond AI. Fit: larger programmes that combine software delivery with data and AI.

Ho Chi Minh City with a US office, 4.8 from 9 reviews. Website lists AI development and an AI-powered EHR companion app. Fit: healthcare and US-facing projects with AI components.

GLOBALDEV, NKKTech Global and DEHA Global

Three Hanoi companies listed in Clutch’s AI category with high AI shares (40%, 40% and 80%). GLOBALDEV shows 4.9 from 116 reviews; NKKTech 5.0 from 10; DEHA 5.0 from 3. We did not review their websites in detail for this article. Fit: buyers wanting AI-focused specialists; ask for detailed case studies.

Want to scope a first AI use case before comparing vendors?

Questions about data and evaluation

Ask every shortlisted vendor:

AreaQuestion
Data accessWhich data will the system use, where is it stored and who approved its use?
RetentionWill any provider retain or train on our data? How is this configured?
PermissionsHow do you ensure users only see what they are allowed to see?
EvaluationWhat test set will you build, and which metrics define success?
Failure handlingWhat happens when the model is unsure or wrong? Where do humans review?
CostWhat is the expected cost per task at our volume, and how is it monitored?
Model choiceWhy this model or provider, and how easily can it be changed?
OperationsWho monitors quality after launch, and how are prompts or models updated?

AI proposal checklist.

Choose a bounded first engagement

Start with one workflow and a pilot that produces evidence for a decision, rather than a broad “AI transformation” contract. Our guide How to scope an AI pilot before development begins explains how to choose the workflow, define checks and plan the pilot. Frequently asked questions

Do I need an AI specialist company?

For data science and model training, specialists help. For adding LLM features to an existing product, a strong product engineering team with AI evaluation skills may be a better fit.

Which AI models do Vietnamese companies use?

Profiles list a range including OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere and open-source models. Model choice should follow your requirements for quality, cost and data handling.

How do I compare AI proposals?

Use the checklist above and insist on an evaluation plan with measurable criteria.

Can AI run in our own environment?

Yes, through private deployment of open models or cloud services in your own account. Ask vendors about their experience with each.
